The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat has announced that the third edition of the Biashara Africa Forum will now take place from November 3–5, 2025, instead of the earlier scheduled dates of October 20–22, 2025. The forum will be hosted in Lomé, Togo, a city recognized for its active role in advancing the implementation of the AfCFTA framework.
The Biashara Africa Forum serves as a strategic platform for public and private sector leaders to deliberate on policies, partnerships, and innovations aimed at strengthening intra-African trade and investment. This year’s edition will focus on identifying investment opportunities, tackling market access challenges, and promoting trade facilitation mechanisms under the AfCFTA.
According to AfCFTA Secretary-General Wamkele Mene, Lomé was selected as the host city in recognition of Togo’s consistent efforts and leadership in promoting continental trade integration. Participants will also gain access to critical tools such as commercial intelligence, market access data, and regulatory guidance — all designed to support informed business decision-making and compliance with AfCFTA rules of trade.
